Which Social Media Platforms Are Best?
The most popular social media platforms are probably Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, although for things like garden inspiration you may find even more information on other ones such as Pinterest and Instagram. Most people already have a Facebook account, and this is a great place to start. You may also like to look at getting a Twitter account, and if you are really into sharing your photos then you’ll love Instagram. Choose the platforms that appeal to you the most, and register an account so that you can start using it.
Get Inspiration
When you are considering renovating your garden, one of the biggest problems that you may face is running out of ideas. Gardens are part of the house that really benefit from some serious creativity, and if you are drawing a blank then you only have to look on social media platforms to see what other people are doing with their gardens. The inspiration will soon come flooding in once you start looking at other people’s ideas. You could also put a status update on Facebook if you have a particular problem that needs solving – for example how to find a particular piece of garden furniture.
Get Techniques
Gardening is a pastime that requires a huge collection of different skills, and unless you are a professional gardener there will be holes in your knowledge. You can’t possibly know it all when it comes to gardening, so if there’s something that you would like to get better at – for example laying a patio, keeping a lawn as lush as possible or building a compost box – then social media is the place to find out how to do this. You can even look at YouTube instructional videos that can take you through the job step by step. This sort of information is priceless, and will inevitably lead to the job being done more quickly and with better results. Social media is a great place for trading tips and techniques, so have a go at discussing any impending jobs with friends and family over social media and see what pearls of information they can throw your way.
